The story behind House, Home & Lifestyle magazine

In 2011, Surgoed Makelaardij NV began publishing a contemporary, glossy real estate and residential magazine in Suriname. This magazine was the first of its kind and became an instant success. Every two to three months a new edition is published full of interesting, educational and fun articles around real estate and living. The magazine’s goal is to make the real estate world more accessible and understandable to everyone: buyers, sellers, tenants and landlords.

To reach an even larger audience, the magazine is not only published in hard copy, but also posted online on our website. The magazine is even available in the Netherlands! We cover various topics in our magazines, including articles about the real estate market and its novelties, we introduce plots and homes, and talk about all kinds of fun things that come with real estate.

Articles on novelties in the real estate and investment market are also featured. For example, we will have economists, developers and other experts by experience speak, talk about building or renovating a home yourself, and show plots and domains. The notary answers important questions you may ask when buying or selling real estate and explains various terms. You will read all kinds of articles about real estate and stay up to date on the most interesting topics.

In addition, numerous properties, plots and domains are offered for sale in the magazine. We will discuss the various locations and domains, as well as inform you about the property. This will introduce you to many homes, business properties and plots of land scattered throughout Paramaribo and Suriname. We show some unique locations in Suriname where you can get a property or plot.

Finally, our magazine includes relaxing articles related to real estate and Suriname in general. So we take a look at the house of a well-known Surinamese, give tips on trips and day trips, get to know Surinamese companies, compare some products and materials from the construction sector (bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms …), take a look at some striking homes and discuss trends in terms of furnishing.
